When using the VSX-6154-V2 embedded system for development, the Console Redirection feature enhances system debugging and remote management efficiency. This article will guide you through the setup and operational tips to help you master this functionality with ease.
Additionally, this article will demonstrate the use of ICOP’s PPC-104T-EHL product running Windows 11 OS as the PC terminal for executing the PuTTY Console.
Hardware Requirement
- VSX-6154-V2
- PPC-104T-EHL
- PPC-104T-EHL with a COM port running Windows 11 (or other Windows OS) can use PuTTY for console communication
- A D-sub 9 pin Female to Female Cable
Setting up the BIOS on the VSX-6154-V2
1. Power on and then press Del into the BIOS settings
2. Enable the Remote Access settings
Please go to Advanced -> Remote Access, and set to Enable
3. Press F10 to save the BIOS settings
Executing and Configuration Putty Parameters under PPC-104T-EHL
1. Setup the Putty configuration under Windows 11
2. Please execute the Putty.exe
3. Select the option Session and choose the Serial to setting the Speed 115200
4. Please check the Parameters Serial -> COM1 -> 115200 -> 8 Data bits -> 1 Stop bits -> None Parity and execute the Putty and VSX-6154-V2
5. Restart the VSX-6154-V2, and you will see the boot-up screen on the PPC-104T-EHL
